1/2" vs. 3/8"
I'm about to order parts for my setup... how much of a difference is there really when you compare 1/2" to 3/8"? I'm not going to hop or dance my car... but I don't want it to take forever either...

It is easier to low down a fast air setup with 4-fill controllers
makeing a slow setup faster sucks because you will be buying new valves, line and fittings and that will get expensive So I say go with ½ inch and if it is too fast then slow it down to your likening |

Re: 1/2" vs. 3/8"
I'm running 1/2 all the way around. Slam is exactly right. I run a couple adjustable slow down valves that have silencers in them too. So it doesn't slam down so hard. Go half or 3/8 it will save you more in the long run. be sure to get decent valves and no bullshit plastic fittings or the shit with nylon centers. get brass fittings too. They are more reliable and air tight and won't crack or leak down. Let us know what your going with. Cheap shit up front will cost more than doing it right the first time, and it will keep you from getting really pissed off when it doesn't work right. I paid quite a bit for my stuff but I wanted it to be good. Watch out for some of the kits they can get you a good price by substituing cheaper parts in areas. Know exactly what you want. Let us know your shopping list and we can help you out finding the best price and quality brands on things. Good luck homie I'm excited for ya.

also something to watch for on valves is that some have the quality brand valves and advertize cheaper prices but they are actually rebuilt valves not new ones. Something to think about.

Re: 1/2" vs. 3/8"
Keep it half all the way. Atleast you know you can make it faster if you want. I know there are allot of guys that Slammed and I clown on while were out crusin and they sure wish they could be faster. Even Slammed and I will turn up the pressue when were out and tone it down for normal driving. Always nice to have the option to be faster.
By the way I just ran two fill valves to each of my front bags. The car raises so fast feels like its gonna break your neck. BAD ASS though. And of course after rollin like that for a few days I blew a bag, and it was an XS Slam bag too. |
