help: electronic valves not deflating

hey guys,

was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem, and if so, then how do I fix it... I just pulled my ride outta storage after 10 months, and was testing out the air suspension. The bags dont seem to be deflating (none of em)... When I push the deflate buttons, you hear a "click" but no air empties out. The bags fill just fine...
Anyone know how to fix this up, and whats wrong it?

Thanks!

Usually when you here the click that means they are working

Some things to check are
  • do you have the flow in the right direction
  • double check the wiring
  • if you have had the valves for a long time the diaphragm might be rusted shut and the clicking is the valve solenoid working but can’t move the diaphragm

If you can try switching the valves around and see if the dump valves will fill the bag or if the fill valves will dump the bag.

Re: help: electronic valves not deflating

im pretty sure the wiring is ok, and the flow is alright, because the bags were working perfectly when i put the car into storage last summer. but i guess it could be the diaphragm, ill try reversing the valves if i can.

If it was working before you stored it then the valves have rust in them

Do you run a water trap??

Re: help: electronic valves not deflating

yeah, I do run a water trap. So if I have rust in the valves, do they need to be replaced or can I clean em?

I would try to clean them and inspect the parts to see if anything is broke or warn and if that doesn’t work then depending on the valve you can get a rebuild kit but make sure be for you buy anything that you check prices because valve are getting cheaper. You might just buy new ones to save the trouble
