Suggestions for a Benz
I have a 91 300E mercedes. The next thing i want to do to my car is bag it. I am unsure of what to get though. I do research here and there but would like some suggestions. I will post pics of the car soon. Very nice. I appreciate any suggestions. I know i want slow release valves and independant bags.

Re: Suggestions for a Benz
Okay here is a small break down of what I know and maybe someone can add on too. I have Xtreme valves, Viaair compressors, and Slam specailaties bags. Watch out for ebay soemtimes the valves they sell real cheap may have a brand name but the are rebuilds and haven't told you that. Some kits have good parts and then cheap crap on others to bring the price down so watch for that too. I decided like you to do it right and bought everything seperate and what I wanted first insdtead of paying to upgrade alter or replace cheap stuff. Viair compressors are good and so are AZ compressors too. You can hook up a Nitrous bottle too like SLAMS or LOW's cars. I'm still consider doing that too. Air ride has some nice stuff but I think some of what they offer is overkill and pretty spendy too. You can make some of your own stuff and save too. I guess it depends on what your going for. What are you considering at this point? Do you hve any parts yet? Does that car need to be 3 link or a 4 link in it? I'm not really familiar with them.

Re: Suggestions for a Benz
i know viair stuff is good. as far as valves go i dont know what size valves to get. since it is heavy car i am looking for heavy duty bags. i dont know the difference between 3-link or 4-link. i would also like info on maintenance of the system. how about climate does that effect the system. I just dont want a bunch of problems and then end up paying more money. do the bags replace strut or spring? mine are seperated.

Re: Suggestions for a Benz
As for the valves they will sell kits that will come with 1/2 fill and 3/8 dumps....but you can always put a restricter on it and it will drop as slow as you want. Bags you should go with the slam specialties. they cost more up front but are worth in in the long run. better ride and takes less air. do everything you can to save your air.....valves as close to the bags as you can get them. and if you have room consider getting a small bottle of nitrogen. everyone gets tired of hearing their compressors run.
