Hey guys....good site, and I have a couple questions for ya.
I have a 95 Dodge Dakota that I want to drag the shit out of. It can be seen here>> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/645747 . I get 40% of of Air Ride Technologies products, so I will be purchasing everything from them. Qs: 1. I think that i need to step-notch my frame so that I can lay frame, and I have a small amoutn of experience with welding, and I was wondering what would be the best type of welder to have if i wanna be able to weld in frame notches, as well as weld in things like metal patches in the body, as in shaving things. What welder? 2. What is the easiest/best way to install a four-link in the rear? 3. I plan on shaving everything on the bed, and weld in sheet metal over the box, and have the bed lift up sideways....any ideas on how to do this? If anyone knows the answers to any of these questions, please help me!!! Thanx! Bk |

First of all I can answer all your questions but I think your parts supplier should do that.
Get a 210amp mig welder, should do all you want it to. Dont go any smaller. If you purchase all your gear from ART they should have answers to all your questions anyway. Dont use a bolt C notch as they are not good in my opinion, weld it on, same with the 4 link. Most of the bolt on ones I have seen dont fit well. |
