Can I use silicone to seal the threads?

I bought parker fittings which have about 2X more threads but they also bottom out, they run all the way down until there is no more threads just unthreaded material. The other fittings have less thread and run the hex part into the bag.

I dont know what to do except for silicone or something. I am using the good teflon paste too. So please help me out.

Matt

I used Teflon tape and silicon for my fitting and it worked for me and I have seen people use liquid Teflon tape and that worked good they got it at home depot

Re: Any other way to stop leaks?

Where did you put the silicone at? On the threads and screwed it in or did you put it on top after screwed the fittings in? thanks a bunch. I think this is what I am going to have to do.
Thanks
Matt

I put tape on the threads and then a thin layer of silicone on the tape and screwed in the fitting

Re: Any other way to stop leaks?

You answered your own question. They make their own bags and they are the ones with the "guess the thread depth" machine.
Change the bags to some others and you will be OK
