Man I got air cylinders and it handles tight. I dont even really notice I put air bags (cylinders) on my car. But if you have it raised up all the way the ride is ruff. If it is too low then its not good either, so right in the middle is perfect. The air needs a place to go.You can also install accumlators on it to smooth it out even more. But I like my ride a little stiff. Its up to you. But I can say that once you get switches, nothing is more tighter then hitting em in front of some fine bitches...THEY LOVE IT!!!!! Or some punk who thinks his car is the shit...just dump the side and watch them hate...I think it gets more looks then a cadi on 24s or what ever. ![]()

I am thinking about getting air cylinder system on my car (1993 Honda Del SOl) and I was wondering, how do you maintain the cylinders, and do they have air leaks often. ALso if I install air accumulators and keep the car at a medium height will it make the ride smooth and not bouncy. I have never sat or riden in a air cylinder car but how would you know ur car is at a medium height or so ur alignment will not mess up?

just do it!!! Man in your delsol it will hit so fast...that car is even lighter then a civic..it will be sick...man dont trip about alignment and shit...who gives a fuck...if you drive most of the time at stock height...then it will be the same...as far as leaks go...when they first hook up your set up...they will check for leaks a couple weeks after...if any leaks they fix them and good to go...my homeboy has had aigbags for two years and no problems(except one bad compresser)...I paid 3000 for my set up...so if you get it for 800...jump on it and dont trip...it takes a few days to get used to it...but after that...you will never go back!!!!!

How long do they last? well I just got mine in my 97 accord..so I dont know..Ive heard you wont need to re-build them for a year or two...I asked the same question and someone told me that youll just know when its time to replace the seals. But you need to think about how many other things cylinders get used for...in fork lifts construction equitment tow trucks...and a lot of cars have air ride in the back...so there reliable...as far ar accumilators go...I wanted them for my car..the shop here in california (KaliAIR) told me I didnt need them. They were right..I have always had import lowriders, so I am use to rougher rides...no matter if you go with a "racer" suspention or airbags or hydros..your car will not ride the same. I think my car rides extremly close to stock...but if I cared I would buy accumilators.....remember you can always add them in later. Once you get them(air ride) your car will transform into somthing different...you will love it........you will understand later.JUST DO IT!!!!!

I am definatey getting the air suspension on the del sol. I bet it is going to make the whole car complete. But how much do accumulators run cuz I am just going to get it installed when I get the air ride installed. If anything it will help ride smoother and thats what I want. Anyways, does ur car with air cylinders bounce alot. I've heard they will ride rough but how rough, u know what I mean. If you have it at a medium height (ride height), what does ur guage read, so I will know that will give me a good ride since u said that the ride is extremely close to stock at yur ride height. How low does the cylinder make the ride. Can u slam it all the way, cuz right now my car has stock spring on it and it is like 9" off the ground from the front.

how low? Im gonna put pics on the net as soon as my car gets out of the bodyshop. Man as far as low goes...it dumps down like it was a truck that got c-notched. Low...thats how people know I got bags because its impossable to get that low with out them...A civic get almost that low but not quite....which is a good thing...I mean i can still drive but only if the parking lot is perfictly smooth....but in a del-sole you will be able to drop it but not fuck up your ground efects. i can get a rear bumper and a front bumper, but not side skirts. Ill just rip them off, I might do it anyway and say fuck it. Right now im getting the trunk shaved and looking for a bumper that will relocate the license plate......Oh yeah...how bouncey is the ride....like I said before....If its ALL the way up its super stiff....if its all the way down...its ruff......right in the middle its like riding on air....you wont notice a thing...I got a V-6 in mine..and I still get on it and it still handles good.

oh iight i have a problem with license plate too right now cuz I shaved my tail lights and the license platebox and everything basically the whole back is shaved with molded rear bumper. I am working on installing a linear actuator right now in the trunk ( on the right corner), so when i turn on the car, the license plate will come up from the trunk and when i turn it off the license plate will go back in. I wana make it look perfect so it will probably take me about 2 weeks to finish since I nly work on my car 2 days out of the week. I havent ordered the actuators yet but hopefully soon. Anyways i you have yahoo messenger, I'm me at s2kguy4u@yahoo.com so we can talk better.
