Angry air ride fuckin up my car?

Man I just got my car back on friday with my air kit installed (97 accord). I pulled into the parking lot and there it was dumped on the ground. Im like sicc, thats dope. They show me what switches did what, and I left and drove away. Every time I hit a switch the car seems like it falls out of the sky and slams on the ground hard. I barely hit the switch and boom it hits hard. Even when I raise it its so fast that that it maks a loud clunking noise. My question is this going do ruin my car. Every person I show my car to asks me. One more thing..They didnt install a presure shut off switch or any presure gauges. so I run my compressers intill I think it is full but I dont know. is that hard on my compressers and is it possable to over fill my tank...If any body has some info please let me know....

Ive never had an air system, but it seems like you have a valve open thats allowing the air to "DUMP" to quickly. Do you have a slowdown valve?

whats up

I have no idea, I told the guy that it drops down too quickly and he said 9 out of 10 people say that but change there mind after they get used to it. Do you think switch extenders would help controlling the switch?

It will help with the fact that the switch takes less force to push......

You can then kinda slap the switch quickly and you can get the thing to lay out smoother....

Its all in the timing...

If worse comes to worse you can always install some slow downs on the dump valves....

Air Slow Down Valves are all over the place on the net, if you need some sources just pm me....

one more...

thank you both for the info...one more question. About how long can the air cylinders last before needing replacing? Im a little worried about what to do if your air system fails and you cant drive or tow your car?

What size ports are in your valves? I had the same problem when I first did the blue 64. I installed reducer bushings and mufflers until I got the drop speed I was after.
Also, pressure switches are cheap and easy to install, and you should have one, for safety reasons.
The longevity of the cylinders is based on a lot of different factors, you'll know when it's time to replace them.
Gauges are nice to have, but not totally necessary. The do help with getting a feelfor how high your ride is.

Possible Solutions

You can be running your bags with to much pressure or you might be running to big of valves on your system....the bigger tha valve, the faster air is able to be released.
