1.What is the difference between manual switches and a fast bag setup?

The difference is in the valves. Manual kits use manual pneumatic switches. The air supply is plumbed to the switches, and then to the bags. When you drop the ride, air is released inside the car.

Electric valves (fast bag valves) use electric switches just like juiced rides. The valves are mounted on the tank, or on the frame near the bag. They have much bigger orifices than the manual switches, thus the increased speed.

2.What are air struts or strut bags?

Most front wheel drive cars use McPherson struts. Air struts have had the coil spring replaced with an air bag. This allows the McPherson strut equipped car to have the capabilities of the air bag suspension, and is usually a direct bolt in application with no custom fabrication required.

3.What kind of fittings can I use?

This depends largely on the pressure you intend to run. Most street driven cars will be within the design limits of compression and push lock fittings. Always make sure to use D.O.T. approved fittings and hose.

4.Is air suspension reliable?

Yes. If installed and maintained properly, an air suspension system will last as long as any other suspension component. Just make sure there is plenty of clearance all around the bag, and keep all plastic and rubber components away from heat sources.

5.Do I need a Pressure switch?

No, you do not. But it is a very good idea to use one. An alternative would be to mount a toggle switch under the dash to turn the compressor on and off. A pressure switch will cycle your air compressor on and off to keep the tank full of air. Some have adjustable set points, others do not.

6.What are air cylinders or air rods?

Air cylinders were designed for vehicles that may not have enough space to mount an air bag.

Remember, your safety is the most important thing to be concerned with. Using a questionable hose because it saved you 5 dollars is just plain dumb. If your system fails, and you wreck your ride because of it, the money saved will not even come close to repairing your ride, or, even worse, you!

Question need spec's wiring to dumps air compressor & I'm using my stock bags on my 85 lincon

ok this is my first time with a baged ride but not my first time with lifts. My system is out so my ride sits 2inches from the ground, and hops when I hit pebbles or dips and I get stuck on speed bumps. my boy is hooking me up with 4 switches an on off switch to my compressor. and hoses the dumps and a tank the only thing I don't have is his assistance on hooking it up .that is were I am hoping u can help.

hey, bagged, did you piece your air ride system together or did you buy a kit with everything that your web site shows on your old 64? and where can i find a york compresser?
