I fired up the motor today and what do you know...it runs and runs good.
The kid that I got the car from said the timing chain was no good...well that's not the case the chain is good. The kid had bad points in the distributer and he wired the coil backwards. I had a set of point and a new coil and the motor fired up and ran better than I thought it would.
I will sell this 283 for $250
