Air Cylinders Vs Airshocks
Right now I have a 67 bug with bags on the back and Only airshocks on the front... They ride well but I want it to be faster. The shocks are incredibly slow! I have 3/8s lines, Viair450, 5 gallon tank, 3/8 valves, and the shocks have a 1/8 port. The shocks ride well but not fast enough... I rercently put my hands on a set of free air cylinders with a 1/4 port and a 1" bore thru. It will be much faster but It seems like the ride will be much more harsh! How can I go about softening the ride? maybe a seperate resevoir somewhere? I feel like if i add a larger resvoir to make the ride softer then I would slow the cylinders down... I assume i would have to trial and error the size of the resevoir. It's gunna be either fast or smooth but not both right? Ill have to find a happy medium. Would I need to run shocks with this or not? Am I wasting my time with the conversion or not? Don't hate on the newbie too much please.
