I've seen a setup like the one your describing in Cali about a year ago... i talked to the guy and he said that it requires major reiforcing of the link pivot point as well as the link itself... hydraulic cylinders require stronger hardware because hydraulic fluid has little to no give, unlike air which is less dense... the only thing that I do recomend if you go through with this is that you give yourself plenty of turns on the coil springs so that your suspension has at least some give, and also, a coilover set up works best with what you are trying to do... good luck
