I know how you feel I did all the same stuff to my 63 in one very long day. I even got a scar on my hand from the gas tank when I bumped the jack and the gas tank fell I put my hand up to stop it from falling on my face the edge on the tank where the metal is welded sliced my palm good I had a nice chunk of meat hanging. So I did what any good grease monkey would do I grabbed a dirty shop rag and some electrical tap raped my hand and finished putting in the gas tank.
