Re: Swing bike from 70's
I think they were made in olympia Washington. The one I have is yellow but now rims on it just the handle bars, frame, all the swing parts, that's why I thought it would make a cool low bike. With the swinging front end would be crazy!
About two years ago my dad bought an original swing bike, never assembled, in the box, at a thrift shop for 20 bucks. He put it together it was mint with orange color frame. We didn't know they were rare and he donated it to sub for santa. Some little goverment welfare sucking kid got it and beat the hell out of it and threw it away 6 months later. My dad found out from one of the other social workers at his office, that it went to an undeserving white trash brat. We quit donating to them and now just find those that we know need help but never ask for it and just trying to get by to make it on their own. They deserve the great gifts, not some greedy pity case.
