check valves are rated by flow,you can shove 15 gpm (Gallons Per Minute)
though a 1/2 check valve and 8 gpm though a 3/8 check. you just need to
know how much flow your pump is putting out . how do you find that info ?
hydraulic lesson -101 a standard 12 volt motor @ 12 volts does about 1800
RPM (Rotation Per Minute) approx. a no. 8 fenner gear at the same rpm will
produce about 3 gpm you would have to spin that motor at 7839 rpm to get
15 gpm. thats about 4 1/2 times faster than what a standard motor can do
before burning up i guess you'd need 60 to 72 volts to spin it that fast. so
to your question check valves can resrict , so can fittings or valves . size
you system accordingly there is a reason they put certain size ports on valves
its because they think you are going to put the right amount of fluid though it
