Nope not 80 forum members but 80 UNITY members, an thats not including the guys from The Netherlands, with them we totalled 97 members !
I used to produce the club newsletter and send out 97 copies of the damn thing !! like i said, only 17 of the UK members had rides
Lowriding was virtually unheard of in the UK in 1995 when UNITY Lowrider CC was started, there had been a few odd rides floating around myself and some other guys decided to start a club and promote Lowriding, we were unsure of how many would be interested in what we were doing so opened the club up to everyone if they had a ride or not because a lot of people seemed 'interested' in our cars, unfortunately thats where the interest stopped and these 'other' people never got around to building cars, just sat on the UNITY bandwagon as we toured all the UK Custom shows. Many of them dropped out of the club when we introduced a membership fee and eventually we managed to loose all those without rides and make the whole thing more manageable, we also dropped the membership fee thing, and the newsletter !
