im not real sure about reverse flows..
but i would keep that part nice and tight....
secondly, if thAT piece has even been taken off, or put on with a set of channel locks, then it just may be fucked up no matter what...
3rd, make sure there is no objects, or metal burrs in the cylinder casing itself..
