well ya see u get 6 guys a side one is a goalie.. he wears alot of heavy padding
the point is to take this little puck from one side of the ice to the other and shoot it in this small version of a soccer net...
heres where it gets hard..
u have 5 guys that will do bodily harm to you in order to keep u from even getting close to that net... and they have sticks..
they will hook u which is illegal but still happens... slash you(sounds greusome huh) which is also illegal but happens alot.. and body check you.. which isnt illegal and really looks like it would hurt ( imagine a 200 lb man flying at u full speed across a skating rink and slamming into you .. sometimes this happens against the boards.. )
they are all pissed off.. and if one even think they have been done wrong they will punch you. in which case the gloves come off... and a boxing match breaks out..
ive been watching hockey for 3 years.. redwings and the blackhawks are the best..
ive seen people get stictches smacked with sticks... knocked out from being checked.. just alot of carnage...
you cant ask for a better sport im telling ya.
